Partial dentures fit onto a metal frame that then attaches to your natural teeth. It is a removable alternative to bridges. The dentist may also put crowns on your natural teeth surrounding the missing tooth that the denture is then attached to.
Getting used to wearing dentures can be difficult at first. It can take a few months for the muscles in your mouth and cheeks to get used to holding the dentures in place. They may feel quite loose at first and speech and eating can be a bit tricky. But with time you will get used to them and they will feel natural and comfortable.
